The laryngeal pain and voice change lasting 11 days after endotracheal intubation

Abstract
About 7.5% of the patients of general anesthesia suffered voice change and laryngeal pain longer than 3 days. Voice change was influeneed by cuff pressure, sex, age, and duration of anesthesia. The auther discribe a case of a voice change and laryngeal pain lasting 11 days. The patient was 37-year-old female with ovarian cyst. The operation was performed successfully for over the course of 3 hours 20 minutes. Just after the end of anesthesia, she suffered voice change and throat discomfort. After 3 days edematous vocal cord and laryngeal erythema was observed and after 11 days all symptoms were improved and the patient is charged uneventually.
